Vintage Rabone Boxwood Ruler
A lovely old Rabone boxwood ruler, made in England and full of the character that comes with years of use.
Beautifully aged, with a warm honey brown patina, original printed measurements and plenty of little marks, scratches and areas of wear from its working life. The ruler is stamped “Boxwood Rabone Made in England” and has wonderfully faded, time worn lettering.
A charming piece of vintage measuring equipment that would look equally at home amongst a collection of old tools, displayed on a shelf or used as part of a vintage inspired still life.
Please note: this is an old, well used item and shows signs of age and wear throughout, which I feel only adds to its charm.
Vintage Boxwood Ruler Warranted Boxwood
A lovely old vintage boxwood ruler, marked “Warranted Boxwood” and “Foreign”, with beautifully aged colouring and plenty of evidence of its former working life.
The wood has developed a gorgeous warm, honeyed patina and the original black measurement markings remain wonderfully clear in places, with areas of fading, rubbing and wear adding to its character. There are various little knocks, scratches and marks consistent with age and use.
A lovely piece of old workshopalia for collectors of vintage tools, or simply for adding a little authentic character to a shelf, desk or vintage display.
Please note: signs of age, wear and use throughout, including surface marks and faded areas, all part of its original vintage charm.
