Vintage Victorian advertising lid from Randall & Son (Southampton), branded “Otto of Rose Cold Cream.” Crafted in white glazed ironstone, the lid features elegant transfer-printed text and delicate floral motifs encircling the brand name. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, this lid is a rare survivor—symbolising the era’s premium “rose otto” skincare tradition. The ceramics show charming age-related crazing and minor marks, and nibbling to inside of lid adding character without compromising condition. A rare beautiful decorative piece for antique collectors.

Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste Pot Lid
Authentic Victorian ironstone lid for Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste, labelled “W. Woods Chemist, Plymouth.” In monochrome transfer print, it states: “For removing Tartar and whitening the Teeth without injuring the Enamel.” From the late 1800s, this lid echoes the era’s chemist-shop branding and local manufacturing. Often found in vintage collections and archaeological digs, such lids are sought-after for their historical advertising charm.
Chip to rim top , chip to side and nibbles to under side, surface crazing.
