Antique French Ceramic Faisselle – Rustic Stoneware Cheese Strainer Mold (10cm

Add authentic farmhouse character to your home with this beautiful antique French faisselle (cheese strainer). Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, this traditional utilitarian vessel was crafted in France from durable, heavy stoneware and used on regional dairies to drain whey during the cheese-making process.
It features a beautiful matte, unglazed exterior with a softly glazed interior basin and pre-pierced drainage holes in the base. Its small scale and neutral oatmeal-speckled palette offer a lovely, timeworn patina that cannot be replicated in modern pottery.
Perfect for collectors of French country kitchenalia or rustic provincial decor. While historically a culinary tool, it can be seamlessly repurposed today as an artisanal soap dish, a small berry drainer, a kitchen shelf vignette accent, or a unique candle votive where the base perforations throw out gentle points of light.
Condition:
Excellent antique condition with minor surface variations and natural aging marks that enhance its unique historic charm. Free from major structural damage
